Many trees have given their lives in the pursuit of helping conflict scholars to better understand the relationships between regimes types and conflict. One of the most studied relationships is known as the democratic peace – that democracies don’t fight other democracies. Using simple statistical tests, we can examine the relationship between regime types, conflict, and military power.
