Rome is a beautiful city. I have been there a dozen times and encourage everyone to visit this “eternal city.” The Romans were engineers and great builders and this city has endured for almost 3,000 years. I would like all to watch: ROMAN CITY by DAVID MACAULAY. From any goggle search you can access the this PBS video. The video is 55 mins in length however 3 or 4 segments of the film are animated [cartoon] and you do not have to view the animated sections and can fast-forward if you want to. In your journal discuss Rome as a city–How the its designers laid out the city, got water to the city center and the functions of some of the cities main structures [The coliseum comes to mind].
